Learn more about how SyncWords Live tracks usage for billing purposes
SyncWords tracks usage based on a combination of A) the time you are actively connected to an Event or Service and B) the number of outputs generated by that Event or Service.
Each language's captions, subtitles, and audio translations are classified as separate outputs.
For example, a live video stream in English connected to SyncWords for one hour that generates English captions, French and Spanish subtitles, and French audio translations would count as a total of 4 hours used.
English captions (1 hour) + French subtitles (1 hour) + Spanish subtitles (1 hour) + French audio translations (1 hour) = 4 hours used
You can run as many simultaneous Events or Services as are allocated to your account without any per Service or Event fees.
Monitor Your Usage
You can monitor your usage on the Service Activity and Event Activity screens. You can access those pages from the drop down menu that appears when clicking the avatar near the top right of the page.
Active Service Runtime
Active service runtime measures the time Services are active. A Service is considered active when it is started (put in a running status) at any point during the contract. By default customers receive 3 times their usage amount in active service runtime at no additional cost. Any additional active service runtime within a given month or billing period that exceeds the default allowance will be billed at a rate of $0.10 per hour.
Example:
- If captions are created for 1 hour and the service runs for 3 hours, there is no additional charge.
- If captions are created for 1 hour but the service remains running for 103 hours, the excess 100 hours will be invoiced at $0.10 per hour, totaling $10.
