[Integrations](https://help.syncwords.com/live/integrations?hsLang=en) # Send live captions to vMix using the vMix Caption Bridge ## Display SyncWords live captions and translations as a native vMix Title overlay on your production. vMix does not accept caption data directly, so SyncWords provides the vMix Caption Bridge. It is a web page you open on the computer running vMix. The page receives your live captions from SyncWords and sends them into a vMix Title input, where you can style and position them like any other title. **IMPORTANT:** Open the vMix Caption Bridge in Chrome or Edge on the computer running vMix. Safaricannot connect to vMix from this page. ### Step 1 – Enable the vMix Bridge page for your event Open your Event, go to the "Widget" tab and select the "vMix Bridge" tab. From there copy the page URL. For a Service, enable the vMix page using the API and copy the URL. The URL uses the prefix v- followed by your event URL: - https://live.syncwords.com/v-{event-url} – captions in the transcription language - https://live.syncwords.com/v-{event-url}/{lang-code} – captions in a translation language, for example /v-ABCdef/fr ![](https://help.syncwords.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-08-2026-05-52-16-6497-PM.png?width=670&height=274&name=image-png-Oct-08-2026-05-52-16-6497-PM.png) ### Step 2 – Turn on the vMix Web Controller In vMix, go to Settings → Web Controller and turn it on. Note the address shown there, for example: http://192.168.1.50:8088. If your event is passcode protected, enter the passcode. Under "1. vMix title", click "Download the caption title template". In vMix, add it with Add Input → Title, click Browse, then select the file you just downloaded and click Ok. If you rename the text field, update the Title text field name in Step 4. ### Step 4 – Connect the page to vMix On the SyncWords vMix bridge page under "2. Connection", fill in: vMix Web Controller address: The address from Step 2, for example http://192.168.1.50:8088. If you leave out http://, it is added for you. Title text field name: The name of the text field in your title, as shown in Title Editor → Text. The default is Subtitle.Text. Click "Test connection". When the bridge finds your title, you will see a "Found title" message and the vMix status turns green. **NOTE:** Your settings are saved in the browser for this event, so you only need to enter them once on each computer. ![](https://help.syncwords.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-08-2026-06-16-51-5383-PM.png?width=882&height=991&name=image-png-Oct-08-2026-06-16-51-5383-PM.png) ### Step 5 – Go live Keep the vMix Bridge page open during your event. When captions start, the vMix status changes to "forwarding captions" and the Caption preview shows the text being sent to vMix. By default, captions roll up in 2 lines of up to 40 characters, and the title clears after 10 seconds of silence.
