Caption Editor Keyboard Shortcuts

You don't have to always use your mouse to interact with the Caption Editor. You can see a list of the available keyboard shortcuts by clicking the gear icon, choosing Project Settings and clicking the Keyboard Shortcut tab in the modal that pops up.

Captions

Merge with previous caption	Backspace

Split caption	Ctrl - D
Move first word to previous caption	Ctrl - Up
Move last word to next caption	Ctrl - Down
Move first line to previous caption	Shift - Ctrl - Up
Move last line to next caption	Shift - Ctrl - Down
Move text at cursor up to previous caption	Ctrl - [

Set start time of a caption to current video time	Ctrl - S
Set end time of a caption to current video time	Ctrl - E
Clear end time of a caption	Shift - Ctrl - E
Decrease start time of current caption by one frame	Shift - [
Increase start time of current caption by one frame	Shift - ]
Decrease end time of current caption by one frame	Shift - Alt - [
Increase end time of current caption by one frame	Shift - Alt - ]

Playback

Play/Pause video	Space
Go to previous frame	Shift - Ctrl - A
Go to next frame	Shift - Ctrl - F
Skip 5 sec Back	B
Skip 5 sec Forward	F

Decrease playback speed	Ctrl - J
Increase playback speed	Ctrl - K

You can also edit the shortcuts to something more familiar to you. Just click on the value you want to change and pick another key or set of keys to assign to that function.
